FAQs

Who is Mexicana Business Alliance?

We are the first formally established community of Mexican professional women in Canada. Our mission is to create spaces that foster professional growth, leadership, and connection through a supportive and empowering network.

What kind of initiatives do you offer?

We offer a variety of programs, including mentorship, networking events, workshops, and speaker panels, focused on professional development, entrepreneurship, and community building.

Who can join?

While our programs are designed by and for Mexican women, we welcome and value the support of allies from all genders and nationalities. If you are passionate about our mission and want to contribute your time and expertise, we invite you to join us.

Is participation limited to women in Toronto?

While our community is open to all Mexican professionals and business Woman, most of our in-person events currently take place in Toronto and the Greater Toronto Area (GTA). We’re actively exploring options to expand our reach virtually and across other cities.

Do your programs or events have a cost?

Yes, all of our offerings have a participation fee. This helps cultivate an intimate valued experience. Some exceptions apply for key partners, collaborators, or special guests. Fees are always stated upfront.

Is Mexicana affiliated with the government?

No. We are a non-governmental, community-led organization. While we are not officially affiliated with the governments of Mexico or Canada, our work is recognized and supported by institutions such as the Consulate of Mexico in Toronto.

What are your core objectives?

We are guided by three key goals:
  • Visibility: Elevate the presence and contributions of Mexican women in Canada.
  • Development: Support their professional and entrepreneurial growth.
  • Connection: Create bridges between members, leaders, and opportunities.

How can I get in touch with you?

Do I need to be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident to participate?

No. Our community includes professionals with various immigration statuses, including work permit holders, international students, permanent residents, and citizens.

Can men or non-Mexican allies participate?

While our core programming is designed by and for Mexican women, we welcome allies who support our mission. You can join us as a volunteer, speaker, sponsor or partner.

I’m just starting my career. Will I benefit from joining?

Absolutely. We support professionals at all career stages, from early talent to senior leaders, and offer programming tailored to a wide range of needs and goals.

What is Ideas Sanctuary?

Ideas Sanctuary is the mother company behind Mexicana Business Alliance. As a consulting firm, Ideas Sanctuary founded our initiative, serving as the resource manager, legal entity, and operational backbone of our alliance.
Mexicana Business Alliances operates as a community-driven concept, while Ideas Sanctuary is the incorporated company that supports it. This is why all official transactions, some communications, and administrative processes are linked to Ideas Sanctuary.

Does Mexicana Business Alliance Plan to Expand to Other Cities?
